When you open a page, our hosting provider records technical data so the site can be delivered and protected: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, your browser and operating system. These logs are kept for a short time and used only for operation and security.
The site loads its fonts, images and logos from our own server. It does not use advertising cookies and does not load content from social networks. With your consent, it uses Google Analytics, as described in the next section.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and its parent Google LLC, USA. It shows us which pages are visited, how visitors find the site and how it performs, so we can improve it. We see these figures only in summary, never as a profile of you.
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie note. Until then, nothing is sent to Google and no Google cookie is set. After your consent, Google sets cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that recognise your browser on later visits for up to two years, and receives information about your visit: the pages you see, how long you stay, the page you came from, your browser, device, screen size and approximate location (country or city). Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, and we keep the data for fourteen months.
Google may process this data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; Google Analytics then stops, and its cookies are removed.
More about how Google handles data: policies.google.com/privacy.
To spare you repeats, the site keeps five small notes in your browser. They are not cookies and are never sent to us:
Your currency is first guessed from your browser's time zone and language, on your device; nothing is looked up about you.
The site also sets one small cookie, called crue_lang, but only when you pick a language in the footer. It holds nothing but the language code, so that the site opens in that language next time, and it is kept for one year.
On a first visit without that choice, the site may open in your browser's preferred language, which it reads from what your browser sends with every request. Nothing about it is stored.
You can clear the notes and the cookie at any time in your browser settings.
The contact form and the start pages of our products send us what you enter: your name, email address and, if you give them, company, phone number, the product, the plan and your message. We use it to answer you, to send you a short confirmation, to prepare an offer or set up what you ordered, and to keep a record of our business correspondence.
The legal basis is your request and the preparation or performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We keep enquiries that lead to nothing for up to two years, and business records as long as Swiss law requires, usually ten years.
The assistant at the bottom right answers questions about our products. What you type is sent to our server and, when the assistant runs on AI, to Anthropic, PBC, which generates the answer under its commercial terms. Anthropic does not use these conversations to train its models. We do not keep the conversation after your visit beyond the technical logs described above.
The assistant answers only from the content of this website. To prevent abuse, the number of questions from one network address is counted for a short time, in memory, and not stored.
Please do not enter confidential or sensitive personal information in the assistant. For anything specific to your company, write to us or call us.
We work with a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, bound by contract to our instructions and to confidentiality:
We do not sell personal data and do not pass it on for advertising.
Some of these providers are in the United States. Where a country does not offer an adequate level of data protection, we rely on the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner and the European Commission.
When we run a product for your company, we process your company's data as your processor, under a separate data processing agreement. What we host runs in Switzerland, the EU or the US, depending on the product and what you need, products that live in your own Claude or ChatGPT workspace stay inside it, and your data is never used to train a model. Details are in our terms and in your offer.
You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, withdraw a consent you gave, and receive data you gave us in a common format. Write to hi@crue.ch; we answer within thirty days.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority of your country.
Our site is served only over encrypted connections. Access to enquiries and client data is limited to the people at crue who need it, and every one of them is bound to confidentiality.
We update this policy when our website, our products or the law change. The version on this page applies; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
